§ 46.2-413. Effect of reversal of conviction.
Reversal on appeal of any conviction because of which conviction any license or registration has been suspended or revoked pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall entitle the holder to the restoration of his license or registration forthwith without proof of financial responsibility. |

§ 46.2-414. Commencement of periods for suspension or revocation of licenses, registration cards, or license plates. |
Wherever it is provided in this title that the driver's license, registration cards, or license plates of any person be suspended or revoked for a period of time on conviction of certain offenses, or after a hearing before the Commissioner as provided by law, the period shall be counted from 180 days after the conviction becomes final or after the order of the Commissioner, as a result of the hearing, becomes final, or shall be counted from the date on which the license, cards, or plates are surrendered to the Commissioner or his agent, or to the court or clerk thereof, regardless of whether the record of conviction has been received by the Commissioner or his agent, whichever period shall first commence. However, the provisions of this section shall not apply in any case where the person whose license is subject to suspension or revocation gives a false name or otherwise conceals his identity. |
